Introduction
This portfolio is to show my understanding of the laws, practices, and philosophies that inform and influence my personal classroom management philosophy. I have broken this portfolio into two chapters. Chapter 1 explains the philosophies, theories, and ethics that influence the essential decisions teachers make on a daily basis while managing their learning environments. My personal classroom management plan is explained in depth in chapter two. I will go into multiple aspects of my plan including classroom layout, expectations, procedures, consequences, and how these elements will be presented to my students.
This portfolio is designed around my future 5th grade classroom in Plentywood, Montana. Plentywood School is a K-12 rural school with about 200 students in northeastern corner of the state. Some characteristics of the classroom include:

- Technology in the classroom includes:
- A Smartboard
- 3 desktop computer stations
- 2 mobile laptop computer labs (shared with all elementary classes)
- Classroom is located at the end of the middle school hallways
